Treatment planning question this surgical case,

ideal treatment plan included only exo of upper premolars, can anyone explain this to me ? why lower premolars are not a treatment option?

I was always under impression LLHA was not great at max anchorage, yet the board gives this as an option for non surgical management of this case, should I change my thinking and assume LLHA is max anchorage?

Anish – good things to bring up about this case.

    1) I can see L4s as a treatment plan that is more straightforward to set it up. There is also the Ahn boards article that talks about graft in a man anterior when proclining man incisors. Though that is ALOT of space to count on getting it all with proclination.

    2) “I was always under impression LLHA was not great at max anchorage, yet the board gives this as an option for non surgical management of this case, should I change my thinking and assume LLHA is max anchorage?” – TADs are our absolute. I’ve seen LLHA as good as we get for max anchorage on the lower without TADs. I think the goal is looking for some anchorage to show you understand man space closure.
