    Elizabeth, I think about this related to the appliance that I am using.

    For example, Using 22 slot Twin Brackets, I have little Torque control in a round steel wire but in a large rectangular steel (19×25 or 21×25) I have greater Torque control. The term “control” I interpret as I am affecting the change with my treatment.

    Sometimes I do NOT want to express torque of the bracket… for example I will frequently use round steel for the lower arch in a Class III case.

    Does that help out? Think of maybe some other ways we do this to? TAD T-bars? Bends?
