I am curious behind the justification of the following answers:

-Slightly retrusive maxilla… would normal maxilla be an appropriate answer since SNA is only 1 point away from norm?

-Maxillary transverse deficiency… is this based purely on archform? Wouldn’t that be categorized as a dental problem and not skeletal? The way I see it there is no posterior crossbite in the current relationship of the jaws and were the patient properly positioned in a Class I AP position there would be no posterior crossbite as well (so no absolute nor relative posterior crossbite). He might even go into a Brodie tendency in the proper AP position.

Thank you for the help and clarification 🙂

    David good questions!

He’s slight in both ways. If I cover up his mandible I can see that his maxilla still could be advanced – but I don’t want him to have a 2mm LeFort. Same on the mandible – it’s off. It’s the fact that are both are boderline which is making him Class III. So a combo effect of the jaws. That’s the reason for mentioning both.

For the transverse what catches my eyes are the canines – they are at correct width but really pushing the boundaries.
