Should we have a bullet for each plane of space for molas and incisors?

I would assume ideal dental treatment is based off of a surgical treatment plan, so adding these bullets in addition to the ones listed:

    – Maxillary Molars we would want to advance ( to increase our surgical move and decompensate Class II)

    – Maxillary Incisors extrude (to increase incisor exposure)

    – Mandibular Molars Extrude (To level COS post surgery)

    Thanks

    -Eric

    Great question Eric!

I do recommend separating out the objective in each plane of space. Based on briefings from the ABO this allows them to give you credit for each correct section. Their sample cases show is this listing as well.

    Good points!

In prompt 5, what is the rationale for advancing maxillary incisors?

I agree on flaring maxillary incisors and torque correction, but did not get the other bullet point for “advance maxillary incisors”.

I understand patient has negative U1-NAmm, but also has a very steep cranial base plane. My clinical look at this case would lead me to include only proclining maxillary incisors and torque correction.

    Thank you!

      Maria,

This one seems prepped by same member that prepped the other case. Improving the U1-NA is the goal. That is the AP measurement for the incisors even though as you astutely point out – it is accomplished through the proclination / torque corrections.

      Thanks!
