    Hi,

I am having constantly hard time when question asks for treatment plan options. I often times write too much trying to explain in details, when actually answer should be just key words stating the plans. Could you please help me as I am trying to get better on this to provide me a feedback if that answer would be considered right in the real exam:

1- Comprehensive orthodontics surgical BSSO mandible advancement, maxillary 3-piece for expansion and posterior maxillary impaction to correct cant

2- SARPE or MARPE before orthognathic surgery

3- Alternative treatment plan: extraction maxillary left first premolar, TAD anchorage maxillary left for maximum anchorage, MARPE expansion

    Thank you so much!

    Maria,

Your treatment summaries look appropriately succinct.

I tell my residents to always cover a few things for clarity:

    1) Is it Comprehensive Ortho or Limited Ortho?

    2) Extraction or Non-Extraction?

    3) Surgical or Non-Surgical?

So if they can tell me – this is a Comp Ortho case, non-extraction with BSSO advance then I’ve got a working idea of where we are headed. Of course adding on key mechanical points such as

    1) TADs and TPA for molar intrusion

    2) Headgear (Any kind of Growth Modication really)

Also “No Treatment” should always be an option in real clinic.

Thank you so much for your feedback, that`s very helpful to know how to write the answers down.
