These seems to be my hardest to prep for, Ive been trying to find some to discuss. If anyone has good ideas on what to do please help me.

    1. Critique the superimposition.
    2. What dental changes occurred as a result of treatment?
    3. What dental changes occurred as a result of growth?
    4. What skeletal changes occurred as a result of treatment?
    5. What skeletal changes occurred as a result of growth?

    6. Give the rationale for the observed skeletal changes.

    7. Give the rationale for the observed dental changes

These are MY answers, I do not have correct answers

    1) Critique: Anterior Wall of Sella Could be aligned better

    2,3) Dental Changes:

Maxillary Molars/Incisors moved more mesial as a result treatment effects

Vertical Changes in Maxillary Molars/Incisors were due to growth

Maxillary Incisors have proclined more due to treatment effects

Mandibular Molars Moved vertically due treatment effects, and had their AP movement restricted as a result of treatment

Md Incisors retorclined and retracted as a result of treatment effects

    4,5)Skeletal Changes

Maxilla as Has been held vertically and protracted as a result of treatment

Mandible has had growth pattern that is normodivergent slightly, hyperdivergent , but due to treatment effects has had clockwise rotation

    6) Assuming patient was treated with Phase 1 therapy and followed by comprehensive treatment, AP changes in the maxilla could be a result of orthopedic correction ofRPHG, DeClerk or Bollard Plates,

    7) Dental Changes; likely are due to comprehensive orthodontic therapy, with use of inter maxillary Class 3 elastics, torqued arch wires, extraction of lower teeth, IPR

Anish, I’ll do a flurry of replies here. This is good looking case. Is this one of the ABO superimpositions?

    1. Critique the superimposition.

    – I agree anterior wall of sella needs alignment, appears to be a tracing error so I’d start back at the tracing.

    – In the maxillary superimposition the vertical is off (split the orbital floor 2/5 and nasal floor 3/5)

For the Dental changes – How far apart are these Cephs? – just need to know to divide out the years/growth

Skeletal Changes – I agree with your answers – some significant maxilla AP movement with treatment (doesn’t look surgical though)

Treatment Leading to This Change – can we see the CS maturation on the cephs to tell the overlap?

Dental Changes – only one I question is extraction of lower teeth…. are there arch photos you are referring to as well? (Just for figuring out what crowding/spacing was present to see if that matches up with the space closed in an extraction situation – mesial movement of molars and distal movement of man incisors)

    Good discussion topic!
